MY FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I received? WEEK 2

For our week 2, we are to give SOMETHING that is STICKY. And I'm very much excited in way that I'm guessing and expecting what to receive and, at the same time, thinking about what I'll give for my baby. HAHA. But I think my baby likes my gift because I also like what I bought for her/him. So in this post, I'll be sharing what I received. :)
Last week, I received a set of hair tools. Refer to this post. I kind of suspecting that this week, I'll be receiving something that relates also to my hair, because I think my mommy/daddy regard me as someone with a long hair. And I didn't fail when I say I'll be expecting one, because here is what I have for our second week:
A hair gel! Hihi.

I'm informed that this is applied before curling your hair, or even using straightener. Because my hair is naturally straight, I think I could use this if I do like to curl my hair, for change maybe. HAHA

FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I Received? WEEK 1

My first week at my work (I’ll blog about it some time this week) is very smooth sailing, in the sense that people at the company is very welcoming and warm.(Details are on my next blog)
Anyway, on my first day, they asked me if I could join their Kris Kringle, organized by the Advertising Department with Mamu and Sir John as its organizers. And I said yes. Because this is my first time, and mainly my way of knowing them better. And because I don’t know about the Kris Kringle tradition that’s why I’m interested in doing one. (For those like me, I bet there is none, who don’t know about Kris Kringle or Secret Santa, here is its idea: members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift; usually voluntary; offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost, since the alternative gift tradition is for each person to buy gifts for every other person. In this way, the Secret Santa tradition also encourages gift exchange groups whose members are not close enough to participate in the alternative tradition of giving presents to everyone else. Source:wikipedia.org) They’ve prepared a small red envelope, basically an ang pao, which is attached in a newspaper. The ang pao contains the name of your baby– the person whom you’ll give a gift that is consistent with the theme for the week; and the newspaper is for wrapping it (to be eco-friendly or what. I don’t know.)  Gifts are 25 pesos at minimum. And on the revelation day, we’ll be giving a 150-peso gift each to our baby and to our mommy/daddy– person who sends me gift every week. And we’re going to put our gifts wrapped in newspaper in a box.
FIRST WEEK: Something long and hard.
What I gave is a secret, because I don’t want to spoil the fun of guessing who is who. Haha. So I’ll be posting pictures of what my mommy/daddy gave me for this week.

This is what I received: a set of plastic hair comb and two hair brushes with a face mirror and a big clip.

A plastic bag for the brushes and mirror

A closer look at the teeth of the hair brushes and the comb.
What I think about it: I will not be using it because I have a comb and a mirror. Plus, I don’t think I could enjoy it ’cause the bristles are hard and my scalp would hurt. I like the color but I don’t think I could get any use from some. So I think all I could have from the gift is the plastic bag to contain any random stuff littering my table, the clip for maybe when I can’t see my ponytails. I think that’s all. And what will remain, I will just give it to my sister. She’s asking for it to be hers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for the gift and the effort, but I have mine and I like it more and these will not go in a bin ’cause my sister will have them. (I hope she’ll keep these).

A Hair and a Comb

After hearing mass, we head on to SM City Sta. Mesa where I planned to buy a comb and possibly a mirror because my one-year old comb got broken by my sister while she’s using it. Ugh.
I found a replacement of my comb! And I’m able to buy a good-sized mirror! Tehee. :)

The black teeth is fabulous! It has a smooth surface and can be easily run through your gorgeous hair! :)

It is also easy to maneuver on your hair because of this wooden handle which gives it a feel of Asian. Printed in the handle is “BASICS SM” to name the comb.

Styled in its green squared mirror, a quality product from Paganini. The saleslady said that it’s one of their bestsellers, because it is affordable for only 59.75. Sure enough, with its size, this is a hit! :)

A look of the mirror if flipped. The lid cover acts as its stand for your face whenever you do your make-up. Very convenient! :)
I’m now delighted with these two products. And I’m very excited to use them! Well, I’m sure a lot of girls would find this post useful whenever they’re picking up good quality accessories without breaking the bank. This post is not, in any manner, sponsored. I’m just sharing my joy of having these babies with me. Next is, I’m on the look out for wide-teeth combs, clips and any hair accessories to compliment my long hair! :) I’m open to suggestions! :)
Smile! :)
