Watsons: Haul!

I shop. Again. HAHA. And this time, I dropped by a one-stop store of beauty, wellness and health. Watsons offers so many variety when it comes to the three and I'm very much into trying stuff, to discover what might be good and at the same time, affordable and friendly to our purses. The store houses some cosmetics- both locally and internationally branded, so it is with ease to look for your type. And of course, with the accommodating salespersons, every shopper will definitely feel welcome. And these are what I got:
Image
Maybelline's Blush Studio Cheeky Glow.
Image
Celeteque's Hydrolized Moisturizing Mist. This is suitable for ladies who work in an air conditioned place. The low temperature strips down the moisture in your face, thus, it is very vital to have a spray moisturizer at hand.

Celeteque's sales assistant lets me have this sample together with the brightening cream. A make-up remover cleansing facial wipe! :)

Sampler: Brightening cream from Celeteque. :)
My two favorite cosmetic products: lipstick and a pressed powder! :) Re-stocking them with these two favorite brands of mine:
Image
Juicy Lips lipstick from Nichido. The shade is: Tangerine Pop. I love this shade and how it colors my lips! :)
Image
Maybelline's Clear Smooth Face Powder in Natural Shade. It gives me a light to medium coverage when desired and it is non-comedogenic- good thing for people with sensitive skin like me. :)

PAPEMELROTI: boxes and a magnet.:)

As I was shopping for a possible gift to my "baby" for our Kris Kringle, I passed by Papemelroti, which is a shop for commercialized home-made products out of paper, cloth and whatever eco-friendly resources here in the Philippines. It is very interesting to note that aside from the fact that all the products are made from materials which you never thought would be possible to use, the products are selling at a very affordable prices plus, these items are so adorable and the designs are cute that I cannot resist to buy what I thought would be useful to me as I would accessorize my desk at the office. :)

Paper boxes from Papemelroti! I chose two of the many designs and sizes of their paper boxes. I got the blue  and red abstract designs which I will be using to store my sticky notes and the like, and paper clips and even candies! :) The size dimensions, I'm not sure, but square, medium-sized sticky notes fit in here.

A close-up take of the blue-covered design paper box.

The stars/flowers/red- covered design paper box.

And I bought a big bubble magnet with a word possible printed inside it, a good one-word push for me while working my butt off. (Sorry for the word) HAHA.
The paper boxes cost me approximately 69 Philippine pesos (I forgot the exact amount) and the bubble magnet costs Php 39. A cute, yet, not a pricey way to decorate office desks or even your homes. For their other products and branches for which you can buy interesting pieces, you can check their website: http://www.papemelroti.com/ And they also offer online purchases! How cool is that!? I will definitely be going back to this shop to look for other cute items, and didn't I tell you that they're also selling accessories for ladies? Awesome isn't it!

LAZADA PURCHASE: 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Edge

As part of Lazada's promo, 12-12-12, they offered an hour-by-hour offer of a variety of products-- from electronics down to home essentials, in a super discounted price! I was a little bit hesitant at buying products online because I  heard so many news about scams and cheating schemes online. That's why before making a purchase, I took the time to research on some local AND trusted online stores where I can find products at their reasonable price, and one of the few is Lazada. And as my first time, I tried purchasing a 16GB USB drive because I don't have one, and that it was very affordable for only Php 499 (regular price is Php 549 if it wasn't for the 12-12-12 discounted promo) After 2 working days, a call to my cellphone confirmed that they were indeed, a legit online business! The call is from the delivery people who'll deliver the item at our house (I chose the payment option COD or Cash on Delivery-- mainly for securing my purchase). Since I was at the office, I just let my parents pick it up from them. And this is what I got~!

The package! :)

Good thing they included the invoice with the package, and that they were paying taxes with every products they sell! Good company!~

Lazada.com.ph- Shop all you can! :)

The 16Gb SanDisk Cruzer Edge. I love the color-- soild pink. And that the product is in its superior condition~! :) A very wise purchase for me. :)

Will I shop again at Lazada?! DEFINITELY YES! Aside from they are legit, they cater to their customers at  a highly acceptable way of dealing business. And that they were very professional in delivering what is expected from them. To help you choose from their variety of products, check out their website: www.lazada.com.ph Free delivery within Philippines!~ Also, you can like them on their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter! Just look for LazadaPH.

FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I received? WEEK 4

I'm very excited about this week because I cannot make any expectations about what item to receive. This week is all about SOMETHING ROUND AND FLUFFY. And I'm feeling giddy all about it! :) Now I'm clueless about what to think and expect. And I'm happy about what I got this week! :)
A Christmas decor: Christmas sock!

This is amazing in that I'll definitely use this! I'll put this in our Christmas tree. Haha! Or I can get to put all my gifts inside and put this under the tree. Either idea is useful, isn't it? :)

FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I received? WEEK 3

This week, the theme is: SOMETHING RED AND HOT. And, since I am now aware that there is a pattern about the recent items that I've received, I am that confident that either I'll be receiving another hair tool or hair accessories.  But, and it must be a big BUT! I'm surprised to see that upon unraveling my gift, it's a lot different from the past two items:

A pair of oven gloves!

Now this something that I'd never see coming! Haha. I must say, my mommy/daddy is brilliant. This is very useful to me mainly because I always burn myself whenever I get to touch hot surfaces in our kitchen. This is sweet! :)

MY FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I received? WEEK 2

For our week 2, we are to give SOMETHING that is STICKY. And I'm very much excited in way that I'm guessing and expecting what to receive and, at the same time, thinking about what I'll give for my baby. HAHA. But I think my baby likes my gift because I also like what I bought for her/him. So in this post, I'll be sharing what I received. :)
Last week, I received a set of hair tools. Refer to this post. I kind of suspecting that this week, I'll be receiving something that relates also to my hair, because I think my mommy/daddy regard me as someone with a long hair. And I didn't fail when I say I'll be expecting one, because here is what I have for our second week:
A hair gel! Hihi.
A hair gel! Hihi.
I'm informed that this is applied before curling your hair, or even using straightener. Because my hair is naturally straight, I think I could use this if I do like to curl my hair, for change maybe. HAHA

FIRST KRIS KRINGLE: What I Received? WEEK 1

My first week at my work (I’ll blog about it some time this week) is very smooth sailing, in the sense that people at the company is very welcoming and warm.(Details are on my next blog)
Anyway, on my first day, they asked me if I could join their Kris Kringle, organized by the Advertising Department with Mamu and Sir John as its organizers. And I said yes. Because this is my first time, and mainly my way of knowing them better. And because I don’t know about the Kris Kringle tradition that’s why I’m interested in doing one. (For those like me, I bet there is none, who don’t know about Kris Kringle or Secret Santa, here is its idea: members of a group or community are randomly assigned a person to whom they anonymously give a gift; usually voluntary; offers a way for many people to give and receive a gift at low cost, since the alternative gift tradition is for each person to buy gifts for every other person. In this way, the Secret Santa tradition also encourages gift exchange groups whose members are not close enough to participate in the alternative tradition of giving presents to everyone else. Source:wikipedia.org) They’ve prepared a small red envelope, basically an ang pao, which is attached in a newspaper. The ang pao contains the name of your baby– the person whom you’ll give a gift that is consistent with the theme for the week; and the newspaper is for wrapping it (to be eco-friendly or what. I don’t know.)  Gifts are 25 pesos at minimum. And on the revelation day, we’ll be giving a 150-peso gift each to our baby and to our mommy/daddy– person who sends me gift every week. And we’re going to put our gifts wrapped in newspaper in a box.
FIRST WEEK: Something long and hard.
What I gave is a secret, because I don’t want to spoil the fun of guessing who is who. Haha. So I’ll be posting pictures of what my mommy/daddy gave me for this week.

This is what I received: a set of plastic hair comb and two hair brushes with a face mirror and a big clip.

A plastic bag for the brushes and mirror

A closer look at the teeth of the hair brushes and the comb.
What I think about it: I will not be using it because I have a comb and a mirror. Plus, I don’t think I could enjoy it ’cause the bristles are hard and my scalp would hurt. I like the color but I don’t think I could get any use from some. So I think all I could have from the gift is the plastic bag to contain any random stuff littering my table, the clip for maybe when I can’t see my ponytails. I think that’s all. And what will remain, I will just give it to my sister. She’s asking for it to be hers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for the gift and the effort, but I have mine and I like it more and these will not go in a bin ’cause my sister will have them. (I hope she’ll keep these).
Smile! :)

A Hair and a Comb

After hearing mass, we head on to SM City Sta. Mesa where I planned to buy a comb and possibly a mirror because my one-year old comb got broken by my sister while she’s using it. Ugh.
I found a replacement of my comb! And I’m able to buy a good-sized mirror! Tehee. :)

The black teeth is fabulous! It has a smooth surface and can be easily run through your gorgeous hair! :)

It is also easy to maneuver on your hair because of this wooden handle which gives it a feel of Asian. Printed in the handle is “BASICS SM” to name the comb.

Styled in its green squared mirror, a quality product from Paganini. The saleslady said that it’s one of their bestsellers, because it is affordable for only 59.75. Sure enough, with its size, this is a hit! :)

A look of the mirror if flipped. The lid cover acts as its stand for your face whenever you do your make-up. Very convenient! :)
I’m now delighted with these two products. And I’m very excited to use them! Well, I’m sure a lot of girls would find this post useful whenever they’re picking up good quality accessories without breaking the bank. This post is not, in any manner, sponsored. I’m just sharing my joy of having these babies with me. Next is, I’m on the look out for wide-teeth combs, clips and any hair accessories to compliment my long hair! :) I’m open to suggestions! :)
Smile! :)

Contents of a Thankful Heart

Image
And I can’t believe what I just saw, right in front of my eyes. Clearly, I’m surprised to read my name along with those people who are now CPA’s. Yes, I’m now a CPA. CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT,  a big name, attached to what I have. I’m happy, trust me. It’s just that it’s so overwhelming that it’s not yet sinking in my system. Definitely, I’m blessed. This is one of the many things in my list of dreams and aspirations. And now I’m beginning to feel a little bit lost for words. It’s humbling to have it after my surname, because I get the chance to give honor to my parents’ name, especially for my dad, who is sure more than happy right now. He is the one who inspired me to go on with pursuing this, though I had a lot of hard time figuring my way through this.  I get a lot of encouragement through his overseas phone calls, and his prayers. I also have to thank my mom who is very (and I should say VERY in bold letters) patient in all of my mood swings and food picks. It is terribly hard for her but she always makes it a point to ask me everything I want that sometimes I tend to ask for things that are not reasonable. And for that I am sorry. After today, after she hugged me while crying, seeing my  name on the list, I felt comfortable inside her embrace, and that is when I said to myself that now it’s my turn to give her everything she’ll ask for. A way of thanking her for all she’d done for me. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Review School of Accountancy (ReSA) for giving me the inspiration to study harder and to dream higher about my future.
To Miguel,  who never stayed away from me, for keeping me sane amidst all the stress I’m feeling, and for loving me though we’re not spending much time together, this is for us. This is a step closer to our dreams. Thank you for the support and care, and for understanding my need of time studying. <3 p="p">
And lastly, to my Savior and my Father up above. I am nothing without Him. I will take this chance to serve You and to glorify Your name, as I help my family. And I will be forever thankful for all the blessings and opportunities You’ve given for me. I love you Papa God. :)
